Travis started the company in 2012 by conducting home energy audits for Liberty Energy around the greater Lake Tahoe region. In 2013 he persued a Master of Engineering in Clean Energy at the University of British Columbia. Upon completing his masters, he began consulting with indigenous communities in remote regions of British Columbia to develop community energy plans, while also working with a provincial organization as their energy manager.
As Wade Energy continued to grow and expand, so did the team and services. In 2022, Travis was able to pursue his dream of designing and personally building an off-grid passive solar design home. Whether it’s developing energy models, conducting site visits, swinging a hammer, or operating his company, Travis brings passion, energy and enthusiasm to his work and life.

Nick has worked as a project manager in the HVAC industry, with a focus on retrofit sales and installation. He has 8 years of field experience designing and installing residential HVAC systems with a focus on the unique needs of each client and home.
From his experience interfacing with contractors, HERS raters and code inspectors, he brings a knowledge of best practices and design strategies for home efficiency and comfort.
Samantha Cobb

Samantha has been working as a Title 24 consultant through the past three California Building Energy Efficiency code cycles with experience in residential, nonresidential, and multifamily projects.
Detail-oriented, she strives to provide excellent communication and support to clients. Her expertise expands to the construction site as an ICC Certified Green Building Inspector (CALGreen), HERS Rater and conducting on-site energy audits of existing buildings for multifamily tax credit retrofit programs.
